Project Metalwork
This £25.6m Geoffrey Osborne development consists of both new and refurbished buildings built using different methods of construction. There are two five-storey blocks, 11 three-storey 4-bed terraced townhouses, and a number of other blocks and buildings, including two listed buildings.
This was one of our larger projects with a metalwork contract value of over £1 million. Ashendene provided a substantial amount of metalwork for this project which included both stepout and Juliette blaconies, also supplied were balustrading and canopies.
We designed the metalwork around the clients special requirement for sustainable timber to be used, to make the project more enviromentally friendly.
All work was carried out off-site in order to reduce both labour and crane time on site, therefore saving our clients time and money. Producing off-site also means that the amount of site traffic is reduced, which is good for the enviroment and also means that there is less disturbance to the local area. Very improtant in a built up urban enviroment.
